Future Residential Drop-off Neighborhoods
We are working to bring our residential compost drop‑off program to more neighborhoods around Greater Cincinnati. Let us know if you would use a compost drop‑off in one of the neighborhoods listed below.
Once we have enough interest in your neighborhood, we’ll start working to set up a compost drop‑off location. After the drop‑off location is ready, we’ll reach out to you via the email you provide, so you can sign up and start composting.
Our residential drop‑off program provides 24/7 access with unlimited drop-offs, sliding‑scale payment options, and a free bag of finished compost every year. Learn more about our residential drop-off program here.

Neighborhood Selection
Here’s what we look for when setting up a residential compost drop-off in a new neighborhood:
- Does the location fit within our service range?
- Is there enough residential interest?
- We’ll typically implement a drop-off location after we have at least 20 folks showing interest.
- Have host sites been identified or shown interest?
- A host site agrees to host the compost drop-off bin and allow folks to access their property to drop-off. Learn more about being a host site.
- Does the host site and location of drop-off have good visibility?
- Seeing a drop-off location is the #1 reason people find out about a drop-off site.
Suggest Your Neighborhood
Reach out to us if your neighborhood is not listed above but you think it would meet at least 1-2 of our neighborhood selection criteria. Sharing any potential host sites and best ways to get the word out to your neighbors helps jump start the process.

FAQs
Hosting a Queen City Commons residential compost drop-off is free and fully hands-off for the host site. We manage everything about the program, including: providing the bin and corral, signing up residents, ongoing customer service, emptying the bin regularly, and maintaining a clean bin and corral.
We take pride in providing a clean and reliable service. We manage over 50 drop-off locations around town – in parks, rec centers, businesses, and community spaces – and have designed our drop-off system to prevent problems with smells or pests.
To prevent odors from escaping and pests from getting in, our compost drop-off bins are secured with a lid and a coded lock. We prevent odors from building up in the bins by servicing them on a regular schedule, lining them with a compostable bag, and rinsing them clean at every service.
